Synopsis:

True crime enthusiast Sloane (Emma Elle Paterson) livestreams her podcast and promotes her idea to create an “If I Go Missing” journal, which would include clues for police to reference if she were to ever disappear. Her followers love the idea, but her cousin Camila (Hannah Vandenbygaart) encourages her to pull back on her true crime obsession. At her day job as a barista, Sloane’s coworker jokes that socially awkward customer Nathan (Damon McLean) is probably responsible for the string of missing women, but Sloane is distracted by handsome new customer Elliot (Robert Bazzocchi). Sloane learns that Elliot is her new neighbor and despite his good looks, she senses that something is off about him. Following the discovery of a missing woman’s foot in the coffee shop’s dumpster, Sloane’s suspicions toward Elliott increase. As Camila develops a crush on Elliot, Sloane begs Camila to stay away from him, but Camila goes out with him anyway. When Camila doesn’t come home after a night out with Elliot, Sloane goes to desperate lengths to find her. But will she be too late?
