Based on a true story. A week after Heidi Broussard (Anna Hopkins) and her newborn daughter are reported missing, investigators close in on their prime suspect: Heidi’s best friend, Magen (Emily Osment). Desperate to stop her boyfriend, Greg (Jamie Spilchuk), from breaking up her, Magen concocts a manipulative plot to fake her own pregnancy to coincide with Heidi’s actual pregnancy. After Heidi gives birth, Magen lures Heidi and her baby into her car, where she strangles Heidi and takes the newborn baby girl to pass off as her own child. Hoping everyone thinks Heidi ran off with the baby, Magen struggles to keep up her ruse as Heidi’s fiancé, Cody (Ian Lake), makes public pleas for Heidi’s safe return while Greg grows suspicious of Magen’s erratic behavior.
