Synopsis: The Shelter Park region of Detroit is gearing up for Christmas when a thief breaks into an art gallery and steals a priceless painting of historical and cultural value. Aspiring private detective Kate Bennett (Javicia Leslie) has yet to make her name as a licensed investigator and hopes that recovering the stolen painting will make a splash and help bring the spirit of Christmas back to the neighborhood. She has an ally in Derek “Oak” Oakley (Brad James), a detective who also happens to be her ex-boyfriend. Kate and Oak zero in on Gunner Fisk (Arnold Pinnock) as the prime suspect given that he is the former owner of the property that is now inhabited by the art gallery. But is he in fact guilty? And will Kate and Oak’s working relationship lead to a Christmas romance?
